TMC: For those who unfamiliar, tell the people who Miles Stone is?
MS: Miles Stone is more than just your average artist, he's a musician. Miles Stone is who I am as a person as well, aiming to be significant, which is timeless. The music should be able to have the same good feeling it gives you now years from now. Miles Stone is not a rap persona, it's my way of life & where i stand in life.

TMC: What made you want to pursue music as a career?

MS: If it wasn't for music, I wouldn't be as focused as I am now. I might have ended up somewhere I wish I didn't because of my negative & wild attitude I used to have. I needed a way to express myself & describe the problems around me. Last but not least, I want to be able to do something positive through something I love to do so I can get the people who helped raise  me out of their problems & situations. Thats what motivates me everyday.

TMC: Name some people who influence you when it comes to music?

MS: 1st & foremost Jay-Z, thanks to my sister's influence. lol. She's the biggest fan of him. I definitely have been influenced by Big K.R.I.T., UGK, Outkast, Curren$y Spitta, T.I., Snoop Dogg & newcomer Kendrick Lamar.

TMC: What is your favorite thing about being an artist?

MS: I just love making music. Rhyming is my specialty but my knowledge of music really helps to get more hands on with music when it's time to make a song. As far as being an artist, i'm basically my own business. Being solely independent with no management has its ups & downs, but i'm blessed at what i've been able to do thus far having a mixtape on LiveMixtapes hosted by a DJ.

TMC: Not too long ago you released your latest mixtape "Blue Collar" Give a little insight for those who haven't heard it.

MS: Blue Collar... It was a long time coming... It took a year to put it together because I was living the Blue Collar lifestyle, working 3 jobs to fund the project. Crazy right? I invested alot of time & money into it & i like to call it a masterpiece. It's a mixtape but i've been told that some think it's an album. I will say this: it's one of the best projects you will have heard from the south in a while. Real music from a country bumpkin that usually grabs someone's attention almost all the time.

TMC: Biggest Challenge since doing music?

MS: It is VERRRRYYY difficult doing this on my own. As much as I love being able to do what I want to do, I know teamwork makes the dreamwork. I have assistance from a few fatihful people that i'm grateful for. I'm currently looking for more financial assistance as well as help with other aspects of my starting career. I'm praying that I get more sponsorships, financial help & more supporters in general to make the next project even THAT much better. Shoutout to my current sponsors stayWise caps & Fresh Baked Daily Clothing!

TMC: What makes you stand out from all the other artists trying to come up?

MS: Definitely my accent, lol. People definitely know i'm from the south and/or the country. I can't deny it. Also just my abilities to make a song & put together a project like "Blue Collar" I feel separates me from your average rapper who just recites rhymes over a beat someone made for em. I organize my material better than that. I just hope my seriousness & my originality takes me far.

TMC: What's something people may not know about Miles Stone?

MS: man, lol i'm somewhat insecure. It comes with my issue with complacency. I just tend to always compare myself to others & try to do better than them. This may seem like a good thing but sometimes it cant create problems. It makes me a lil insecure. Also, another little fact for you, i'm having my 1st concert where i'm the headliner in March this year. at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. Follow me @iammilesstone to find out more details about it.

Hailing from the mean streets of Watts, California, Kanary Diamonds is quickly becoming known as one of Hip Hop’s sexiest female rappers.  With her numerous placement both as features on records and in TV and film, there is no questioning her credibility.  Her video “Mirror, Mirror” was featured on BET’s The Deal, showcasing her tremendous popularity and talent.  With her masterful flow, irresistible sex appeal, and ridiculously hot lyrics, Kanary Diamonds is headed straight to the top

Kanary Diamonds is truly gifted and as a result has collaborated with many artists.  Most recently having been featured on The Games mixtape "Red Room, she  also has been featured on Mack 10’s Hustla’s Handbook with the song “By the Bar” and has joined forces with Chingy, Colby O’Donis, Yo-Yo, Glasses Malone, Kam, Lady of Rage, and others.  Both rare and exotic, this half Puerto Rican beauty knows how to get in touch with her roots recording “Candy Girl” with Tatyana Ali on the Reggaeton compilation Puro Fuego.

Being inspired by artists such as Dr. Dre, Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, and Lauryn Hill, Kanary Diamonds is unstoppable.  There is no doubt this ambitious, focused, and extremely driven rapper will take the game by storm.  She strives daily to perfect her craft so that one day soon her name will be a part of Hip Hop’s greatest rap legends.

Interview:
TMC: Who is Kanary Diamonds?
KD: Kanary Diamonds is an entertainer (a rapper/singer/dancer/actress).

TMC: How did you come up with the name?
KD: Long story short, it compares to the actual canary diamond with it being rare and certified that I am certified with.

TMC: What was it about music that made you want to pursue it as a career?
KD: The feeling it gave me. Music has always been my best friend and my escape. Other than that, I've always loved to perform.

TMC: Who can you say you look up to when it comes to music?
KD: When it comes to music, I look up to Jay-Z the most because I love what he's done with his career. I also look up to Queen Latifah.

TMC: Can you tell us about any projects you are working on now?
KD: I’m starting my EP now so I can't tell much except I'm excited lol!!!

TMC: What the best part about being an artist?
KD: Creating, well for me it’s creating, it’s being able to express myself and have people listen and relate to.

TMC: What has been your most significant achievement & the biggest challenge you've experience since in this industry.
KD: My most significant achievement is endurance. A lot of people do this but a lot of people give up. I think besides the projects, write ups, radio spins, and video plays it is the biggest. My biggest challenge is when you have so many opinions around you that hang on to the sound of your own voice.

TMC: There are many female artists on the come up, what makes you unique?
KD: I’M ME! I stick to Kanary Diamonds because there’s only one me, and that’s what makes me very unique.

TMC: Tell us something people may not know about Kanary Diamonds.
KD: I'm a dork lol. I’m a book worm.

TMC: What are your plans for the near future?
KD: Finishing my EP and pushing that. Stay connected

TMC: For those who don't know you can you tell the people who Max CarDi is?
MC: Max CarDi is NOT A RAPPER! He is an ARTIST! I feel like their is huge difference between a rapper & an artist. A rappers raps but an ARTIST is more versatile/diverse with their music. I feel like I can create any style & do any genre of music.

TMC: What was is about music that made you want to pursue it?
MC: I've always done music since middle school, playing around freestyling with classmates in classrooms & locker rooms. I just never took it serious b/c I was a "sports jock" & planned on pursuing that as my career. When I was no longer able to attend college, music was still there so I took it & ran with it.

TMC: Name some people that you look up to the most when it comes to music?
MC: Honestly, I can't say that I "look up" to anyone but I have a few artists that I like for other reasons than music like Future. Besides his history with drugs I feel like we have a similar story, been through similar situations from what I hear in his music.

TMC: What is your favorite thing about being an artist?
MC: What I like the most is probably traveling, performing & the fans! Its like, I get a high every time I'm on stage that I can't get anywhere else. The combination of being under the lights, performing your own music & rocking a crowd is a amazing feeling.

TMC: You've done a lot of things & worked with a lot of people, can you give us a lil resume?
MC: Well far as artists, I haven't collabed with any big name guys. My last mixtape I worked with Mixtape Monopoly & The Cinematix(DJ SR & DJ Grady) so that was pretty koo. I was a featured performer at Encore 6. Boomman also invited me to his video shoot with Gucci & Pacman, "Man Down" so being in that
was dope too. I have a lot of things in the works that I wont speak on right now you'll just have to stay tuned.

TMC: Tell us something you're currently working on. What should the fans be expecting?MC: Right now I'm working on 3 different projects. Of course "Starz N Stripes 2" is on the way! I don't want to go too in depth with anything til it's ready but 1 project I have coming is just for the ladies, all my female fans. They will definitely love it but like I said before "I have a lot of things in the works that I wont speak on right now you'll just have to stay tuned."

TMC: Biggest Achievement & Biggest Challenge since in the industry?MC: I don't want to say I've really achieved anything as of yet. I know I'm further along than most doing music but I don't like saying everything I've done or saying I achieved something great b/c I don't want to begin to feel content with my position. My biggest challenge isn't really different from any other upcoming artist. Getting my records out & being heard by the mass is always one of the tough obstacles when starting out BUT once you get started it's pretty much easy.

TMC: You've been in the industry a while, what has been the best advice given to you?MC: Always be myself! Make MY OWN music! Build a foundation & brand my name.

TMC: What makes you a unique or different from all the other artists on the come up?MC: I'm me, I'm an artist. I feel like I can do more & do it better than a lot that are on the come up. I understand the business better than most & I'm not afraid to invest in myself.

TMC: What's something people may not know about Max CarDi?MC: Max CarDi is his own manager(for right now) & I still work a regular day job. I'm a amazing chef! Lol
